'Tour de Texas' - On the Way Home

We left Uncle Mark and Aunt Cathy's house at 5 a.m. in the hopes that we would get home at a reasonable time. We'd only been driving for three hours when we entered Oklahoma City. Four hours later we were still there thanks to some of the most incredible severe weather I've seen in a long time!

The interstate flooded from the 9" of rain, and we were stuck for quite a while waiting for the 'river' to go down. The water was twice this wide when we first pulled up, but I didn't think to take a picture till much later :-(

Thankfully there were puddles, and rocks to throw into them...

God, in His mercy stuck us right next to people with two dogs, and a farmer with four cows on their way to a show. So when Elise got tired of puddles there were animals to look at!

When we were finally able to drive over the former river bed, this is what it looked like down in the ditch.

Abby-
I stumbled upon your lovely blog today and enjoyed catching a glimpse into your life.
I minister to university girls and often have opportunity to teach them about marriage. I would like to know more of your courtship as a way to encourage my university girls. Would you be willing (and have time) to write me more about yours?
