Day Three - Trip to Washington D.C.

The National Air and Space Museum attracts people from all around the world with over 9 million visitors a year. That's around 25,000 people a day. Caleb said that on a summer Saturday he wouldn't have wanted to set foot in there - as it was already bad with only the couple thousand that were there :-)

Where do we start first?

The museum is home to the original 'Wright Brothers' Flyer'. The first airplane was surrounded by an exhibit giving a peek into the Wright brothers' life and work - there was even one of their original bicycles on display.

I've always wanted to visit the Smithsonian Castle, so we wandered in for a minute. It was a taste of each of the Smithsonian Museums put together - I think it was to help clueless tourists figure out what they wanted to see :-)

After a long day of walking we're waiting to board the metro and go home!

We wish we could have gone into the Smithsonian castle. Baby is darling as ever.
