Day Four - Part Two

On my family's recommendation we went hiking on the Billy Goat Trail at C & O Canal Park in Maryland. We were warned that it would be physically demanding so we put the baby in front pack - backwards :-) We figured it might be easier to walk that way... but it didn't work so well!

The Waterfall Outlook

We were hiking over rocks along the river most of the time.

The hike was took over three hours for a three mile round trip! It was that tough! Great fun though - it totally wore poor Elise out.

Snoozing on the way to the car.

I just caught up on the last several posts. I've been a little preoccupied. DC is a TON of fun! I like your little baby holder thingy. Elise is pretty cute.

Hope you all had a great time here...I certainly loved spending time with you!

To bad you didn't get to see all the beautiful fall colors, but I guess you saw enough on your honeymoon to make up for this time!

You need that "Gerry" back pack that daddy used to haul you in for miles and miles.
