Well, we are now happily moved in to our new abode. However the internet is not up at the new house yet so there will be no pictures, at least for now. Now we are getting boxes unpacked and hopefully some shelves built in the closet. We rented one Uhaul and I was very disappointed that it was an automatic. We fit everything fairly into one load and the move went without a hitch with the exception that it was the hottest day of the year so far at 91. But the house does have nice A/C.
On Sunday I went to the Olympic Swimming Trials with Mom and we watched Justin Day, an old friend of mine who used to live in Omaha in the morning session. He wasn't ranked very high in the country but he finished 6th in his heat and 50th out over 80 swimmers. In the evening we saw Michael Phelps break his own world record in the 400 IM (individual medley) and then Katie Hoff break the women's 400 IM record which was held by an Aussie. When Hoff was on her last leg and the announcer said she was on world record pace the building got so so so loud. Probably rivaling the decibel level of Creighton games. Mom really enjoyed it because she swam in high school, and I thought it was cool too, especially seeing the world records. Now we will know the names of people to cheer for in August in Beijing.
