Kansas City, Here We Come

Abby and I spent last weekend in Kansas City because Joe and Phillip had basketball tournaments and also just to "chill" for the weekend. We stayed at Serendipity B&B in historic Independence, MO. Here's a few pictures from the trip. My sister-in-law Leah actually put these pictures up and now I'm going to put a few comments.

The first of pictures is from the Frontier Trails Museum. It was quite interesting, having many excerpts from diaries of frontier travelers on the Santa Fe, California, Mormon, and of course, Oregon Trails.

This was an activity where they had a scale model of a wagon on a scale and you had to see what all you could fit in without going overweight.

The old railroad depot which is an open museum in the summer...

...on the Chicago & Alton (C&A) RR :-)

Our B&B

The Roadrunners vs. SW Missouri. They lost this game in OT but it was a great game.

Here against the class 6A Metro Mavs. They played hard but lost by 12.

Downtown KC, MO

This is a WWI memorial where we found the letterbox from a couple pictures. You could go up inside the memorial and there was a museum there but it cost $4 and we were running out of time. We also walked in the KC Skyway (or "The Link") which connects a few hotel and a food court to Union Station, featured below. In Union Station there is a really nice science museum but we didn't go there.

I run a website for young ladies and their families called the Young Ladies Christian Fellowship. We are always on the lookout for stories of godly courtships and romances that honor God. I found your website and was wondering if you would mind me adding a link to the story on our index of stories here:
You can email me at: ylcfmail at gmail dot com
Thank you,

(who also lives in Omaha :))
